Hosting STAMP Workers
An integral part of STAMP is the Field Assignment that each worker will undertake from July to December each year. The field assignment will be conducted under supervision at congregations of the church of Christ in Australia and New Zealand.
Registration
If a congregation is interested in hosting STAMP worker/s the leaders will be required to register the congregation's interest with STAMP. This is an easy process. A congregation's interest can be registered by contacting Les Totman by telephone on +61 2 4329 3881 or by email at enquiries@mystamp.org.au Les will then be in touch with the congregation to confirm suitability, time-frame's, number of workers and to discuss the commitment and field activities.
Hosting Criteria
Congregations who host a STAMP student/s would be required to meet the following criteria:
- Be a congregation of the church of Christ in Australia or New Zealand.
- Doctrinally stable and free of internal disunity.
- Willing to work with STAMP.
- Not “issues-driven” and are in fellowship with the brotherhood in general.
- Able to provide a range of work for their STAMP students.
- Able to provide a supervisor (does not have to be a full time worker) who can train, guide and counsel STAMP workers during the practicum phase. This supervisor will also need to provide a report to STAMP as to the satisfactory completion of the field assignment.
- Can arrange, but not fund, accommodation and transport (if required) for the student.
